Wishlist #1

That's right, i'm dedicating a whole post to things i will probably buy in the future, but there's a chance i won't. Like a lot of you right now i'm finding it hard to have extra money to spend on things for myself, or new homeware peices for my new flat. But that doesn't mean i ever stop filling up basket after basket on different websites with things i would love to own. Then maybe when i do have that extra bit of money, i will go back to them websites and purchase some of the things!

 

Beauty and skincare

1. BECCA x Jaclyn Hill Champagne Collection Face Palette. 

 I've heard so many different people rant and rave about this product and after seing nothing but good reviews about it, i've totally been sold. The colours in the pallete and the packaging are both beautiful. 

2. Tanya Burr Martha Moo Matte Liquid Lipstick.

 Depending on the skin tone each lipstick is different. But personally i prefer the pink/brown tone that Tanya Burr's new liquid lipstick gives off. It looks like the perfect shade for summer and autumn. I'm not a big fan of the rest of her packaging but i do like the style of her lip glosses/liquid lipsticks.

3. Pixi Glow Tonic.  

This has been an item in my wishlist for over a year now, i have just never got around to actually buying it. The reviews are amazing, i haven't heard one bad thing about this product. I feel like it will give my skin more life, in the colder months i suffer from really dull skin. So hopefully this product could help me!

Fashion

 1. River Island Grey Winged Tote Handbag. 

 Ever since i was a young girl i have been in love with River Island bags, to me they are the holey grail of a handbag. They are reliable, big and perfect for every day or work. The different designs are beautiful and i am in love with the one bellow. It's grey and white, with a black strap.

 

2.  New Look Black Leather Block Heel Ankle Boots. 

 I need a pair of sturdy and comfu black boots, which can go with jeans and dresses with tights. But they need to be slightly higher than the ankle because they rub on the back of the foot, i think these would be perfect!

There are also a lot of things i want to add to my new flat, but actually making my mind up on pieces i want to add is harder than i thought. I will keep you updated on this (possibly a future post when i've finally made up my crazy mind.)

February Favourites

Happy leap day!! First of all i hope you all have a lovely day and have tried lots of new and exciting things this month. I haven't really. Just the usual, new fashion, food and TV shows. But i figured i would share it all with you anyway. I'm sticking to my vow and carrying on with some monthly favourites, you can read my January Favourites here! 

1. Simple shower gel.
   Even though we have had two months since Christmas, i was lucky enough to receive lots of Soap & Glory and other lovely smellies. Which means i am probably set in my shower until next Christmas. But these are all creams and scrubs, i have nothing for that fresh scent i need in a morning before university or work. So i decided to try the Simple shower gel after it was recommended by one of the lovely girls i live with. I've gone through 2 bottles in 2 months i love it that much. The scent is fresh and wakes me up instantly. I find some shower creams are nice but they don't make me feel clean, whereas the Simple shower gel does which i love.
2. Juicy Water: Raspberries & Apples.
   I work every Sunday, but because it's that dead in the shop we have a lot of down time. So on my break i always go to Costa, get a hot drink, some food and one of these drinks. I'm all for different juices and this has got to be my favourite one lately. It's fresh and healthy and everything you want in a yummy drink. 
3. White Hot Chocolate.
   Sticking on the drinks and costa route, i recently tried a white hot chocolate from there and it's as amazing as it sounds. I know how annoying it is that sometimes when you get a hot drink you have to wait half an hour for it to cool down, because this has a lot of milk in it, it's fine to drink straight away which is a perk. You get to have cherry or raspberry sauce on top of the cream and it's just a bunch of delicousness. 
4. Lukas Graham.
   If you don't already know who this amazing guy is, he's a singer from Denmark and recently released his amazing hit 7 Years. After i heard this i spent a long train journey listening to his latest songs and i fell in love with his voice more. They're actually a band which i also love, they're new and upcoming so please check them out, share the love!
5. Lie To Me.
   I'm a huge fan of Criminal Minds and most things crime, so when my boyfriend introduced me to this TV show i knew i would love it. It's about a group of people who work with the FBI and can tell when people are lying and every emotion on someones face. They work with the FBI to catch the bad guys and the stories are so gripping. I got through 3 seasons in around a week and a half.
6. Shadowhunters.
   Again, sticking with the TV show Netflix kind of thing i want to talk about a new show which is a Netflix original- Shadowhunters. There is a series of books called The Mortal Instruments which i read when i was 16 and fell in love with. It was then made into a film, which wasn't that successful so they made it into a show. And i am officially hooked! I can't describe it without giving it away, so just go and check it out! Give it a couple of episodes and if you're not totally in love with it... i'm sorry.
7. Striped tops.
   I've always been a huge fan of New Look fashion, it is basically my go to shop when i need anything. And lately i have been all for the striped jumpers and tops to pair with a skirt or jeans for that casual look. I don't know why i am just loving them. 
8. Boyfriend jeans.
   Another piece of fashion i have introduced myself to is Boyfriend jeans. After seeing Tanya Burr's amazing jeans from Topshop i decided i wanted to get some and see if my little legs would look okay in them. The Topshop ones weren't in my price range so i purchased the New Look ones with slits and i am in love, they are so comfy and look perfect with a light jacked, striped top and belt.

6 New Years Eve Looks: Topshop

I woke up this morning and the first thing i did was check my emails. Now like every other girl i am subscribed to many different retail websites, including Topshop. I may not do a lot of shopping myself but i am into window shopping whenever i have some down time. The email was all about New Years Eve and about what people should be wearing. Of course the selection is full of glitter, velvet and fur. To me, Topshop can be a bit hit and miss but i was so happy when i found a few dresses that i absolutely adore. So i thought i would share with you all the types of things i'll be looking at wearing for my New Years Eve party!

1. Tinsel Wrap A-Line Dress.

This dress is basically my style down to a T. I'm not really into anything booby or too flattering, but i think this is perfect. The colour is gorgeous and i love the neckline.

2.  Embroidered Shift Dress.

My style can also be on the classic side sometimes. I love the detail on this dress, especially the arms i just think it's beautiful.

3. Glitter Plunge Tunic.

Now if you do want to show a little more skin and be more daring, i found this gorgeous glittery plunge dress which i love. It's simple but also really New Years Eve party worthy i think.

4. Geo Knit Dress.

The last dress i've chosen is a patterned dress. I chose this because i think it would be really flattering and i think it looks kind of classy in a way.

5. Linda Pinstud Velvet Platforms.

Ok.. so i may have a weird phobia of velvet and the touch may freak me out but how pretty and festive are these heels!! I don't think i'd buy them but i do love them. Maybe one of you guys would love to wear them and rock the velvet shoe.

6. Laila Glitter Star Velvet Platforms.

My last and final item i choose to share with you guys are these gorgeous and unique shoes. Again they are velvet so not for me, but the pattern is just beautiful and i do love them. You never know, maybe i will get over this fear and buy a pair!

Jumpsuit And Playsuit Season Is Here

Now that it's colder weather and a lot of birthdays/christmas parties are coming up i thought it would be the perfect time to invest in some new and appropriate clothing. I've realised in my last few years of partying in the cold, that you can still look amazing and stay warm. My favourite looks lately are playsuits and jumpsuits.. comfy, warm and stylish all in one. (Another major reason i don't like to wear dresses or skirts, is because of the wind.. damn you wind!) I'm going to share with you some of my favourites, and maybe you guys can help me decide which ones to buy? The ones i've selected are all from a website called prettylittlething.com which is an amazingly cheep site.

Playsuits.

This one is my favourite.The long sleeves and plunging neckline draw attention away from the legs and give a more slimming look. 

I adore this colour, i think it matches any skin tone well. I also love the baggy arms and the detailing on the sleeves. People who aren't as comfortable in tight clothing (like me) would be more suited and comfortable in this. 

I also love this colour, and i love the baggy detail on the bottom and the tight waist in the middle. The plunging neckline is classy and very elegant in my opinion.

Jumpsuits.

This is my favourite colour at the minute, i think this is the autumn colour. I love the backless effect and the tight leg.

I'm slightly unsure about the baggy leg, however i still love the colour and the adorable backless detail.

Sticking with the same colour scheme, another baggy legged jumpsuit. More detail down the front which i love.

New Look And Superdrug Haul

The day finally came.. my loan is in! I'm running out of clothes which are appropriate for Autumn/Winter so i decided to treat myself. Then i thought, why not make a haul of everything i've bought? Instead of taking pictures of the clothes i decided to show you them on myself and give you a small review of each piece. Excuse my face on some of the pictures, i'm not used to so many pictures.

My favourite piece which i bought is my new winter coat. I wore it for the first time today and i adore it. It's so warm and for the quality it's so cheap! A hood was a necessity to me and what's better than a bit of fur to go with it? 

New Look- £49.99

Because i have to walk to the bus stop when i'm going to uni i needed comfortable flat boots for the cold winter which is coming up. I've never owned brown boots and because i'm loving my black jeans at the minute i thought i would mix it up a bit.

New Look- £24.99

I got this top on sale for a bargain, and who doesn't love a bargain? The fit is perfect and the material is thick which i love. The detail on the front is gorgeous too.

New Look- £5.70

I took a risk and bought a turtle neck, i wasn't sure when i first got it but i'm in love with the colour and the fit. It has skin tight arms and the jumper is baggy which is a cosy fit.

New Look- £19.99

The detail on this shirt is just gorgeous. It is one of the prettiest pieces i own. The frills on the collar and wrists are so adorable. It's extremely thin though, but it would look lovely with a jumper in the colder weather.

I thought i'd include a few items i picked up from Superdrug too. I'm loving brown this season and i thought i should purchase some stuff. The nail varnish is by Collection and i have it on now, it took three layers to make it a nice colour but the brush is amazing for such a cheap price. The lipstick is by Bourjois in the shade 05, it's a beautiful shade for all year long and i'm officially in love. The last item i bought was the Garnier Micellar, i've heard so much about this item and it's as amazing as everyone says. It cleans your skin perfectly and makes it feel amazing after.

Homeware and Topshop wishlist

I haven't done a fashion post yet so i'm super excited to write and share this one with you guys. There's not much excitement going on in my wardrobe at the minute, but there are so many things i want to add to it. So i decided to make a wishlist of all the things i have seen and love. As most of you will know from one of my previous posts, Home Haul, i adore homeware. So why not make a wishlist about that too?

I created these images using the app Polyvore, which is amazing if you love to browse and create sets like below. I am totally in love with these homeware pieces. I am obsessed with decorative pillows and flowers for my desk, i can't find any desk flowers which are a decent price right now, so if you know of a place please let me know in the comments! My favourite Disney film is The little Mermaid, so i clearly love mermaids and that statue type one caught my eye instantly. I'm totally into anything copper right now, so i included the lamp, chair and table because, so much lovelyness.

On to the fashion. Everything in the set below is from Topshop, i'm a student so i only shop there when i have enough money to buy a few things because i can't go in and buy one thing, it's too hard. My favourite season Autumn (or Fall to you Americans) is coming soon, so i wanted to pick things which i would wear for it. I'm super excited for berry lips and dark eyes to come back, i'm not going to lie, i don't own any makeup from Topshop but i'm sure that will change very soon because i hear amazing things about it all. I adore cropped jumpers, they are perfect for Autumn and they go with skirts and jeans which i think is fab.

5 things i've loved this week

Hey guys!

Here's a few things i've been loving this week, i've decided to do this every Sunday because each week i'm trying new things.

Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturising Gel
This is one my first Clinique products, i also purchased an anti-blemish face wash and an anti-blemish gel at the same time. However the other two haven't been working as much as i had hoped. This moisturiser is the best one have ever owned, i was a big supporter of Simple at one time however i feel as if this is lighter than that. I instantly feel hydrated and fresh after i put this on, it dries instantly and leaves my face feeling smooth and clean. I highly recommend this Clinique product.

Granola with natural yoghurt and mango
I went to Starbucks whilst i was in London which i don't really get to do anymore, and i decided to get the granola with natural yoghurt, mango and passion fruit. At first i wasn't really sure about the texture but after a while i fell in love. Ever since coming back to Leeds i've been in love with granola, yoghurt and fruit. it's the perfect little snack or breakfast for summer. 

Teen Wolf

I am such a TV buff, i love every genre and i have seen most shows out there. Recently Teen Wolf Season 5 started and i have got to say, i am loving this season so far. After the death of one of the biggest characters in Season 3B it went slightly down hill. But the past few episodes it has been amazing. Action packed and darker than ever, the characters are all coming back to life and i find myself looking forward to each new episode straight after i've finished one. If you don't watch Teen Wolf or have never even heard of it, you'll enjoy it if you watch shows like Pretty Little Liars, Arrow or Once Upon A Time. It's clearly supernatural.

New Look of the shoulder top

I bought this off the shoulder top from New Look 2 weeks ago and i have fallen in love. I'm not comfortable with my body shape at the minute (i'm starting the gym when i'm back at uni) and this top just makes me feel so much better. New Look is my go-to shop, they have some amazing summer things to suite anyone. It is floaty and the different patterns allow me to wear a black skirt/black jeans and still not looked washed out. I'm totally into off the shoulder tops this summer and i think everyone should have at least one in their wardrobe! 

Five Guys burgers and fries

My boyfriend recently visited me whilst i'm at home in Leeds and we decided to try Five Guys burgers and fries after he saw a review on YouTube. This is by far the best fast food (if you can even call it that) place i have ever come across. Yes, the prices are slightly steep but the amount of food you get, the quality and the customer service from Five Guys, it's worth it. They have so many different drinks you can choose from, different flavours of Coca Cola like Orange and different flavours of Fanta like Peach. Honestly, it's fab.
